Professional referral occurs when an individual is referred from one professional care worker to another for advice or treatment.

Hurdles to referring onEdit

When to refer onEdit

Issues when referring onEdit

You may make a professional referral if you work in a nursery and you are concerned for the welfare of the child as they are falling asleep in class their behavior is not acceptable or they are falling behind with their classwork. With this you will contact social services who will then contact a care worker to investigate the child's background further and in more detail.
