Structure of the heart valves

The mitral valve (also known as the bicuspid valve) is a heart valve that sits between the Left Atrium (LA) and the Left Ventricle (LV). The mitral valve pumps blood from the Left Atrium (LA) to the Left Ventricle (LV).
