Military psychology is a particular sub discipline of psychology focusing on the application of the science in the armed forces. Military psychology's aim, is to understand:

  • the psychological factors influencing military decision making
  • the role of group cohesion in military units
  • why some soldiers succeed in a miliary environment and why others fail.
