The inner psychoanalytic circle consists of the closest analytics around Sigmund Freud, including himself.
Through the years, because of the breaking of relations between Freud and many of the psychoanalytics in this circle, many members became separate. However, in the beginning the circle consisted of:

- Carl Jung (president of the International Psychoanalytical Association, 1910-1913),
- Otto Rank,
- Sándor Ferenczi (International Psychoanalytical Association президент, 1920),
- Ernest Jones (president of the International Psychoanalytical Association през 1922-1924; 1934-1949),

- Max Eitingon (president of the International Psychoanalytical Association, 1925, 1927-1932),
- Karl Abraham (president of the International Psychoanalytical Association, 1918, 1925),
- Hanns Sachs,

- and latter the daughter of Sigmund Freud Anna Freud and others.
