The Center for Applications of Psychological Type, CAPT, was founded in 1975 by Isabel Briggs Myers and Dr. Mary McCaulley. The aim of the centre is to extend and teach the accurate understanding of the ethical and practical applications of C.G. Jung's theory of psychological types.

The centre houses the Isabel Briggs Myers Memorial Library, which currently holds 1,011 dissertations and theses; 3,544 articles and papers; 885 books; 56 copies of the Journal of Psychological Type; 532 newsletters; 161 proceedings; 3,361 audiotapes; and 56 videos.
