Acquaintanceship knowledge is an aspect of social cognition and is the knowledge of people, places and things. As a concept it is distinct from both declarative knowledge (knowing that) and procedural knowledge (knowing how).
The concept was discussed by Bertrand Russell in his book Problems of Philosophy [1]. [2]
